Karma

Alex jumping off boatKarma is not punitive; it is corrective. And it is simply cause and effect. If you jump into the water, you will get wet—not dry. If you eat too much, you will get full—not hungry. If you drink too much alcohol, you will get drunk (and more than likely a hangover). All actions of body, speech (=energy, breath) and mind, will have specific effects. We say we want happiness, but most of the time we take actions that will not lead us to that end result–far from it. Negative causes has negative effects. Positive causes has positive effects. Period. There is nobody and nothing outside of ourselves to blame for things that happen in our lives. We are not victims. We create our reality by the actions we take each and every moment.
