Screen Shot 2012-10-12 at 8.38.51 AMMeditation is not something we do to have ‘experiences’. Rather, it is a practice for gaining greater peace and clarity, that we then can then ‘take with us’ into the rest of our lives. We know that it takes practice to get good at any sport, playing an instrument, or learning a craft, for example…Why don’t we see the need to cultivate the practice of stilling our minds? All our actions starts in the mind, with a thought, is it not then reasonable to give this area of our lives our time and attention?
