Ayurveda teaches us

Screen Shot 2012-07-20 at 7.59.20 AMAyurveda teaches us that if we eat after the sun has set at night, it is best to have a strong external light source (candles) that will resonate with our internal digestive ‘fire’. Also, avoid eating 2-3 hours before going to sleep at night. If that is not possible, go to sleep on your left side, to again help facilitate digestion. One of the biggest reasons people end up with reflux issues is eating too close to going to bed. Your biggest meal should be mid-day, when the sun is high.
