Consider ‘what’ you put into your mind before going to bed…

When we go to sleep at night, the body sleeps, but the mind does not. The mind has no anchor.

This is why we in dreams can go anywhere and at a moments notice. One moment we are on a yacht in the Caribbean; the next we are being chased by a bear in Alaska; the next we are getting married to ‘Prince Charming’ — no anchor whatsoever.

So, we should really be aware of what we ‘feed’ our minds before we go to bed at night.

Traditional societies gather around after the sun goes down and then they do some kind of spiritual practice.

We would also benefit greatly from doing a short meditation, reciting some mantras or prayers, or at least doing some kind of brief practice that calms the mind and helps us transition into sleep…

Avoid anything that is agitating in any way…
