Rose water to cool you down…

IMG_1611As our temperatures in Dallas are now climbing to high’s of 100+F / 38+ Celsius, I figured it would be a good time to share another useful Ayurvedic tip: Rose water.

Put some in a spray bottle and spray it on your face, wrists and/or body.

Rose water is intrinsically cold, so even if it gets warm, the effect when you spray it on you will still be cooling.

This can also be used if you are experiencing hot flashes!

I buy mine at an Indian store here in Dallas for about $2. Make sure to read the ingredients and that it only contains water and rose oil, as some may include both alcohol and/or preservatives.

You can buy rose essential oil and use a drop in water as well – but rose oil is very expensive…

Stay cool!

Love & Light!
